GLP Attorneys was a mid-sized regional law firm in the Pacific Northwest at a time of transition. A name change and expansion of their practice lead internal leadership to also tackle long-lingering identity and website needs.
In partnership with branding agency Shift Up, New Theory took on a two-stage project for GLP Attorneys. First, a logo and identity refresh helped give GLP a clean, consistent appearance. We then did a deep-dive on their potential clients and business needs, taking GLP through a user experience design process, resulting in a refreshed website that will support GLP for years to come.
Clean, Clear, Consistent
When the firm officially moved from “Graham Lundberg Peschel” to “GLP Attorneys”, they wanted to clean up their identity, and put their practice focus of personal injury law front and center. New Theory created several new lockups and options, then helped roll this new identity out across GLP: website, business cards, stationary, and signage.
UX Design for PI Law
An excess of choices on the website left visitors struggling to find their destination. Our redesign cut the number of links on the homepage down from 33 to 8, focusing first on what most users were seeking, and removing the rest. GLP saw the rate of site abandonment significantly drop as a result.
From The Front To The Back
Over the years, the backend of the site had become cluttered and difficult for GLP’s marketing team to manage. There were two pages for each attorney, and the accumulation of 10+ years of content and updates was hurting performance. New Theory created a new, cleaner system for managing their content within WordPress, and migrated the team to this new system.
Stop In The Name Of Blog
GLP Attorneys already had a ton of great content, but a lack of mobile responsiveness and difficult navigation challenged readers. New Theory redesigned the blog section, made it mobile friendly, and improved findability from other sections of the site.
The main purpose of the site is to help potential clients reach out to the attorneys at GLP. Rapid links to local offices, and fast contact info for every attorney shortened this path, getting the new clients in touch faster.
